Theory in HCI
An introduction to CHARM, Choosing Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Appropriate Research Methods. (Why must there always be some acronym for these things?) It’s a good survey of HCI research methods, including how to choose the methods that would benefit your particular interests and motivations. The site was built by a seminar taught by Dr. Ben Shneiderman’s in the Fall of 2001 (CMSC838s).
